Existing building commissioning (EBCx) effectively enhances performance and improves occupant safety and comfort in previously constructed facilities. This EBCx training focuses on the benefits and objectives of the process, providing comprehensive instruction on each phase of the existing building commissioning process based on the Best Practices established by the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA).
Instructors with extensive industry experience will outline all the deliverables involved in the EBCx process, emphasizing the importance of the following aspects:
- Identifying which buildings and systems are ideal for EBCx
- Understanding the benefits and goals of the EBCx process
- Analyzing facility performance through a systematic approach that includes establishing a baseline, performing energy calculations, reviewing documentation, and conducting functional testing
- Performing energy calculations and structuring an Energy Efficiency Measure (EEM)
- Assembling current facility requirements
- Creating an EBCx investigation plan.
